Sookie Stackhouse [24 Sep 2008|04:49pm]
[ mood | hungry ]

As of right now, I am on book 7 of 8 in the series of Sookie Stackhouse: A Southern Vampire series. I LOVE them!!! I simply cannot put the books down. I go through 1 book in about a day and a half. I'm trying to space it out longer now since I only have 1 book left to read. Damn it. If you can get one of the books...starts with "Dead Until Dark," then do it! NOW.

Also I am very excited for "Twilight" to come out in theatres this December. I plan to start reading that series after the Sookie series. Also, HBO has made a show out of Sookie Stackhouse called "True Blood" which is very good as well. It differs from the books here and there, but for the most part it's true to the series.

I love how vampires are now the new "it" thing. Haha, i've always loved Vamps, my favorite of the supernatural world. I love vampire romances actually. It has to have romance in it and then that makes it out of this world.

Whirl Wind Weekend [26 Mar 2006|09:41pm]
What a whirl wind weekend this has been. Back and forth from the hospital pretty much. My mom was admitted again on Friday, but the good news is that she is doing better and will hopefully be let out later next week. I miss having my mom around. I talk with her about everything and I hate having to wait to go to the hospital to tell her things. My dad said that my brother and I probably won't even get to see her next week until she comes home cuz he'll be going right down to visit from work.

My dad's 52nd birthday is also tomorrow. I baked him an angel food cake so i'll decorate that tomorrow. I don't know when Mike and I will give him his present though. I suppose when he gets home from the hospital. We shall see how that turns out.

I went out to lunch with Jeff today. I had a really good time. We got to know each other a little better. He's a really sweet guy. After that I came home for a while and waited for my dad and Mike to come home. Mike had bought Anchor Man so we watched some of that and then went to B&N to get my mom a drink and then went and visited with her for about two hours. Then we all came home and watched the rest of Anchor Man, that movie is so halarious! Now i'm here talking with Ryan online. I'm gonna go get ready for bed soon. I'll see ya later.

Never get your hopes to high, that has always been my philosiphy and I should just stick with that. I strayed from it for a while, I was really happy and excited and all...on cloud 9, but once you get to the top there is only one place to go, down.

[14 Mar 2006|06:22pm]
What a beautiful weekend I had. Friday me and my dad went to Davids Bridal to get my Prom dress. It's so beautiful, I feel like an angel in it. Saturday my dad took me to get my permit. Recieved that and then went with my grandma and grandpa to Rich's (my grandma's nieces husband), his 40th surprise birthday party. I've always wanted to go to one of those. Sunday I stayed in my pj's all day and watched The Little Mermaid with my mom towards the end of the night. Around 8pm my dad and I watched How William Shatner changed the world in my room. I love it when my dad watches tv with me in my room. Then we went downstairs and watched a Disney special on the History Channel. Ironic how that was on because i've been in a very big Disney mood lately.

Monday I watched Bewitched with my mom and started A Lot Like Love, but The Donald came on tv so my mom had to watch that. I just went upstairs and got ready for bed. Today we finished A Lot Like Love and also finished Legend of the Fall. That was a sad movie. So many people die in it. Thursday my dad and I are going to Penn State for some dinner party they are having for incoming freshman. I do not know how he is going to pull that one off because Thursday is his late night at work. He really wants to go to it though. Oh! Yesterday when I got off of the bus I saw this UGI truck following me and then go to the end of my street and turn around to come back towards my house. I did not know what was going on and thought maybe this guy was following me, true he was, but not in a bad way/ It turned out to be Nick! I love that guy. We talked for about 25 mins about the Yankees and going to see a game and going to the Red Barons to see the Clippers before that.

Life is good right now. I truly mean that. Not as if someone asks "how are you" and everyone responds "good". If that many people were "good" then the world would be a fabulous place. I feel good about myself, i'm not afraid to do things anymore, and i'm down right proud of how i've carried myself throughout my life so far. No regrets. On that note I think I shall take a nice hot shower and relax.

Don Knotts [01 Mar 2006|10:27pm]

Last Friday Don Knotts, famed for his role of Barney Fife on The Andy Griffith Show, passed away at the age of 81 of respritory and paulminary complications. I came upon this sad news by going to imdb.com. What a shock it was to look at the home page and see that Don Knotts had passed away. I was in disbelief, choked up with tears and saddened greatly. I went downstairs to tell my parents who could simply not believe it. My mom was very upset because she loved him, we all did.

I then went back upstairs to read more of the artical. Then my dad called me back downstairs to see what CNN was saying about him and that the following night they would replay a Larry King episode where he interviewed Don and Andy, which I also watched with my mom. Even writing this now I become teary eyed. You see I grew up with Don Knotts on the Andy Griffith Show and loved him dearly as his character of Barney Fife. I also continuesly watch his one movie The Ghost and Mr. Chicken. That a boy Luther! A little humer with that comment. Anyway, Don Knotts has undoubtly been a part of my childhood and will forever remain a part of my life.

Last night TV Land had a 3 hour marathon of The Andy Griffith Show in honor of Don. We all watched that with heavy hearts, but also laughter filled the house because that was what Don was best at doing, making us laugh, and he will forever be remembered for that. These pictures are from a commercial TV Land has running now. You can view it on their home page. http://www.tvland.com/tvl.jhtml. This weekend is souly contributed to Don also with a 48 hour marathon of both The Andy Griffith Show and Three's Company. All I can hope is that he will never be forgotton. It is almost as if a member of my own family is gone now. I loved that guy so much. Here's to you Don~

Kennedy Love [23 Feb 2006|07:36pm]
Alright so I have a new theme: Kennedy Love. Yes, Kennedy love is like no other. I love it. I was feeling a antique brownish color and this is what came out of it. I'm very pleased with it.

We had the day off today in honor of Kyle Wega. He was a technician at my school and was killed in a car crash early Sunday morning. My dad, Katie and I went to the viewing last night. So many people turned out for it. We had to wait outside for atleast 10 mins before we were allowed inside. Then we had to stand in double lines and wait about fifteen mins. before we even got close to the where the family was. It was very sad. I'm glad I went though. I was contemplating on whether I should or not, but after seeing how many people did go, I'm glad I did.

Semi was last weekend. i had a wonderful time. Tension was deffinitly present with my group of friends but no matter, I do not let things like that bother me when I want to have a good time. I spent most of the night getting pictures with my friends and such. I'm not one for dancing to club music very much. I like a more elegant tone of dancing. Slow dancing I guess one would call it. That is more my style.

Prom is coming up in three months. May 13th to be exact. I'm worried about not having a date to go with. If I do not successfully aquire a date by that time then I will simply not go. It is not very appropriote to come to a prom without a date. It is almost foolish. My soch. and psych. teacher, Mr. Pope, told us to live a life of no regrets. Hence my previous entry. Therefore I will have to put a brave face on and ask someone to accompany me to Prom. I am fearfull of rejection, who isn't really? That is why I have never asked someone before. In my mind it is not right for a girl to ask a guy, but nowadays in 2006 I suppose that is a natural thing to do. I do not want to think back ten years from now and wonder what might have happened if I had asked someone. So I will just do it. If I get rejected then so be it. At least I tried and will know rahter than wonder.

I was just thinking how I have matured over the past year. I've always been on the mature side, a little silly at times, but mostly grown up. Over this past year though I have become accumsted to things that would have scared me in the past. Talking to anyone, no matter who they are is one thing. Asking people for help in stores always scared me because I would be afraid they would say "no we do not have that" or something, but now it does not bother me. Asking people to prom is just another example stacked upon the many already done. A great deal of this is due to the fact of having to potentially become a mother figure in my family. The other half is because I have a classic frameset of mind.

Well i'm going to get back to a movie I've been watching. Talk to you later.

Sociogram [10 Feb 2006|07:08pm]
THE SOCIOGRAM IS COMPLETE!!!!!!!!!

I freaking hated that project. I cried, laughed, and cried again. Scream at the top of my lungs with Katie. Me and Katie had a "Sociogram Sleepover". It was actually fun now that I look back on it. Haha, I can not believe any of that even happened. Some rough times, me not caring, both of us giving up, Katie being positive, pictures, mental breakdowns, and it all ended with me going "I'VE GOT IT!" What a great time. It took us two days to complete it. I really only worked on it the second day though for six hours straight. Now that I remembered it, I have to go get the pictures on the computer so i'll talk to ya later.

HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY KATIE!!!!!

Um let me just say that I love Super Bowl Sunday. Going to the Kaspers house has now become tradition for us. I almost always have a good time going there. Haha, this year was good. The game kinda sucked but other events surrouding the night made up for that.

So I hate doing my sociogram and I just might not do it at all. I simply do not care because I can not figure it out and i've just given up. W/e.

Hair cut. [22 Jan 2006|11:02pm]
So this weekend I got my hair cut. Love it. Hung out with Britt G, Carrie, and Isaiah at Barns and Nobles for a while. We had some nice chats going on. Then I talked with some people online and Isaiah on the phone. Then Kris came over and we chatted for a while. Isaiah and I then talked again after Kristin left and now i'm here. A good weekend all together i'd say. Well i'm off now. Oh ya Happy birthday Ryan B.! Ok later all.

Spring Time [17 Jan 2006|06:24pm]
Oook. So I know what's goin on with Ryan now and i'd rather not talk about it cuz it has to do with one of my friends. Me and him are ok though.

Got out of school early today for a snow storm that never happened! I love when that happens. I came home and slept until 5pm. I'm getting a cold also and feel run down, but not so run down that I can't function at all.

I'm really looking forward to spring time. I want to have a bunch of fun and flirty dresses for the spring/summer season. I love dresses and do not have enough of them. I just have to find out where you can buy those kind at prices that aren't to bad. I invision spending loads of time outside and even getting some chic casual wear to go fishing with my dad and brother. I probably will not be fishing of course but i'll make the pinic basket up and head along with them.

Just a small update today. I'm out.

When I Hear That Happy Beat Feel Like Dancing Down The Street [16 Jan 2006|06:33pm]
Oh man I love long weekends. Friday I went shopping at the mall with Britt G. Got some shoes, I love shoes. Then Saturday I hung out with Isaiah at Barns and Nobles. I love that guy. Then Sunday we went to Target and I bought two new purses. Today I watched TV Land in the morning and then worked on my last Wyoming Valley Cultures report ever. It's sad though, I really love that class. Speaking of which I didn't finish my final on time on Friday so he let me go to his room 3rd period which is Economics. That class is so loud, it was really hard to work on my paper but of course I got through it. He had me sit behind Ryan in the very back which was good cuz I wouldn't wanted to have been in the front with all of those guys yelling and crap.

So lets see I also watched tons of TV Land this weekend cuz an All In The Family Marathon was on. Love that show! Hahaha. Sam is having a coffee party which I am totally psyched about. She said that we can dress up, like a city chic/ sex and the city chic. How amazing is that!?!?! Love that girl. I really wish what happened about 4 months earlier never did, what a huge misunderstanding that was. I'm really happy that me and Sam are friends now though. She's awesome.

What else to talk about. Hmmmm. Oh yes. My dear friend Ryan. Somethings up with him and I have no idea what it exactly is but to do what he did to two of his best friends is horrible. Just let it blow over? Maybe i'll have to, we'll see. Scott also. He just kinda goes with whatever Ryan does I guess, but when he needs something from me, well then, we're all good friends again. I didn't mind letting him borrow something of mine seeing as how it delt with JFK and if I can teach anyone something about JFK then I am more than glad.

Oh my goodness. School tomorrow. I hate it, but I love seeing all of my friends. I love them all so much. Plus I have to figure some things out with some other ppl and I only see them at school so that's another thing it's good for.

Listening to my Frank and Gene mix of their Movie Musicals seriously makes me really happy. My dad just came in and he's like "listening to your music" and I said with a smile "it makes me really happy" and he said "well that's good". I think he might be getting sick. He said that he didn't feel so good. I made supper tonight for him and I don't mind if I have to for the rest of the time that he's sick. It's what I always do anyway and whatever else for him so that he can have more time to sleep.

I'm gonna go watch either TCM or TV Land or something else if they have nothing good on. Who knows. Alrighty, talk to ya later.

We're Goin On The Town [09 Jan 2006|08:42pm]
So yes i'm in a pretty good mood right now considering all things going on. I have to work a little more on my 3 Gilroy projects and then write up a political paper for him. Then I have to work on my Kupstas report/journal/poster all due on Friday. Isn't that great!!! I'll be so glad to get out of that class. I'll miss Wyoming Valley Cultures though, I really like that class.

So on Friday I got another dizzy headache and I guess Mr. Gilroy could tell something was wrong so he sent me up to the nurse. I did not want to go to the nurse but he wanted me to go up. Had a little migrane on the weekend so I slept a lot but that's ok cuz I watched movies too. I don't think I even changed out of my pj's all weekend. How nice.

Oh! For the Penn State game in the Orange Bowl we went over Alisons house and had an awesome time. Hahaha it is always so funny over at that house, I love it.

I want to get my hair cut. Grace Kelly like. Someday soon i'll do it. It'll just be wierd cuz i've had long hair for such a long time and everyone loves my hair like that, but its due time for a change and Grace is just the style to go with. My mom said to get it done in periods at a time. Get a little cut off and then a little more till I get it to the point that I want it.

I made a c.d. of all of the songs from my favorite musicals starring Gene and Frank. Anchors Aweigh, Take Me Out To The Ball Game, On The Town, An American In Paris, Singin In The Rain, and High Society. Puts me in such a good mood listening to this c.d., gotta love those musicals!!!!

A new actor that I like is William Holden. I've seen him in Stalag 17, Bridges at Toko-Ri, Sunset Blvd., Sabrina, and The Country Girl. Yes I deff like him. Plus I just recently saw the I Love Lucy episode with him on it. I've seen that episode probably 10 times but never knew who he was cuz I was younger, but I had remembered the name. I have to see some of his movies where he doesn't always die at the end. Seriously, for a leading actor he sure does die a lot.

I'm back into Grace Kelly too. She was my favorite actress before I even knew who Marilyn was. But yes, I had liked her from my Hitchcock movies, where I learned all about classic hollywood, and always thought that she was the prettiest person ever in To Catch A Thief with the sexiest man ever, Cary Grant. Omg I love him! Anyway so i'm in a Grace mood right now too. Marilyn will always be #1 for me, but there is just something about Grace that I have always wanted to imitate, her elegance and gracefullness. Ya can't beat that.

Alright, I think i'm done here. Talk to ya later.
